Akshay Ajay Sharma, director of Haddi has been your assistant in many films like Manmarziyaan, Lust Stories, Sacred Games etc. So when he came to you with the script of Haddi, were you aware of what he was going to offer you?
I had read the first draft of the film a long time ago. Back then it was also called something else. After that I hadn’t. But I had seen him go through his process of making his short film and one can sense his desire to make an impactful film.

I was good when I was on stage, but when it comes to movies, I can’t bear to see my own face.

But I do it for free mostly. I actually don’t feel like writing, I write for friends generally and where do you ask for money from friends? I’m not a money minded person. But I’m doing dialogue writing now and I’m charging humongous amounts of money for that.
